HALF TRIATHLON 2026

INTRODUCTION

These regulations define the main points regarding participation in the event. By completing the online registration form, each participant commits to accepting these regulations and gives their consent. For further details on individual points, please refer to the Terms & Conditions section and the relevant menu items where available. The Race Direction reserves the right to make changes to these regulations for reasons related to improving event organization.

For anything not expressly covered in these Regulations, the ITU Rules shall apply.

HALF TRIATHLON

The Half Triathlon will start from Lake Iseo, pass through the entire Val Camonica, and finish in Ponte di Legno.
The finish at Passo Paradiso is reserved exclusively for athletes competing in the Xtrem distance.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Only athletes who are 20 years of age or older are allowed to participate.
Participants must be aware that taking part in the event requires a demanding physical effort.
Online registration is mandatory.
Registrations by phone or email will not be accepted.
To obtain final confirmation of registration, payment must be completed within 10 days of registration.

Requirements to participate in the HALF TRIATHLON:

  • Be registered with ACSI or FITRI. Foreign athletes must hold a valid membership/license issued by the triathlon federation of their country.

  • ALL Italian and foreign athletes must ALSO submit a B1 competitive medical certificate for TRIATHLON.
    Foreign athletes must use the specific medical certificate form downloadable HERE. Foreign medical certificates are not accepted.

  • Membership card and medical certificate must be uploaded online during registration.

OR

  • Be in possession of a B1 competitive medical certificate for TRIATHLON, to be uploaded during registration or sent to the organization at info@trioevents.it after completing the registration process.

  • Non-registered foreign athletes must submit the specific medical certificate form downloadable HERE (medical certificates issued abroad by non-Italian doctors are not accepted).

In the first case, athletes may register as “LICENSED ATHLETE”, entering their membership number and uploading their card (foreign athletes may upload their foreign license).
In the second case, athletes may register as “NON-LICENSED ATHLETE.”

In all cases, the medical certificate must be valid on the date of the event.
Athletes without a valid medical certificate will not be allowed to participate.

MAIN RULES

WETSUIT: Unless otherwise communicated by the organizer, wearing a wetsuit during the swim leg is mandatory. Participants without a wetsuit will not be allowed to start.

BICYCLE: Time-trial bikes equipped with aerobars are permitted.

WHEELS: Although not recommended, rear disc wheels and wheels with fewer than 12 spokes (spoke wheels) are allowed.

BOTTLES: In addition to bottles mounted on the seat tube and/or down tube, athletes may use:

  • Rear saddle bottle cages (max 2 bottles)

  • Aerobar-mounted bottle (1 bottle)
    Camelbak-style hydration systems are also permitted.

DRAFTING: The bike leg of the Half Triathlon is NON-DRAFTING (NO DRAFT). During the bike leg, athletes may not be accompanied by other cyclists, whether racing or not, either in front of or behind them.

DISQUALIFICATIONS: The Organizer reserves the right, at any time, to stop or disqualify participants if deemed necessary for safety reasons, for the proper conduct of the event, or for any other reason. No refund will be granted if a participant is removed/disqualified due to negligent, malicious, or improper conduct. Such athletes may also be banned from future events organized by TriO Events.

ROAD RULES: The entire bike course will be on open roads. All participants must strictly comply with the Highway Code. Maximum caution is strongly recommended.

WARNING: In the first part of the bike course, there are several railway crossings. If a level crossing is closed, athletes must stop and wait for it to reopen.

SUPPORTER: No official supporter is provided for the Half Triathlon.
It is recommended to have a personal assistant to manage logistics, including bike collection after the race.
If an “official” run supporter is desired, they must be registered and must hold a valid competitive medical certificate. They may run the entire run leg with the athlete and must also carry all mandatory equipment.

POST-RACE EQUIPMENT COLLECTION:
Equipment may be collected by the athlete upon presenting their race bib, or by the supporter (from the moment the athlete exits the transition area) upon presenting the identification wristband provided in the race pack.
Bikes and equipment may be collected after completing the BIKE leg at T2 in Ponte di Legno, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
If the bike is not collected on Saturday, it will be stored by the organization and may be collected only on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Ponte di Legno primary school, at the intersection of Via Nino Brixio and Via Gennaro Sora.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

Swim

  • Wetsuit

  • Safety buoy provided by the organization (with waist strap and safety light)

Bike

  • Rear light

  • GPS (provided by the organization)

  • Fully charged mobile phone

  • Approved helmet

  • Bike number

  • Race bib clearly visible on the back

Run (ENTIRE run leg)

  • Waterproof technical jacket suitable for high-mountain use (Gore-Tex or similar)

  • Long-sleeve thermal shirt

  • Thermal hat or thermal Buff (sun cap not permitted)

  • Mobile phone

  • Reusable cup (no cups will be provided at aid stations)

  • Bottles, water and food reserves

  • Emergency blanket (e.g. aluminum foil blanket)

  • Whistle

  • GPS (provided by the organization)

Two mandatory equipment checks will be carried out for the RUN leg:

  • Friday at the Iseo race office during race pack collection

  • During the race, in T2 at Ponte di Legno, before starting the run

CUT-OFF TIMES (MAXIMUM TIMES)

To ensure athlete safety, cut-off times are in place for the swim leg and overall race completion:

  • SWIM: Maximum time: 1 h 20 min – cut-off at 6:20 a.m.

  • FINISH: By 7:30 p.m. (total race time 14 h 30 min)

Athletes exceeding these times will not be allowed to continue.

COURSE VARIATIONS

The Race Direction reserves the right to modify the course at its sole discretion for reasons related to traffic management and athlete safety. Any changes will be promptly communicated to athletes and published on the event website.
In case of adverse weather conditions, the organization reserves the right to reduce or restrict access to the course.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE AND FEES

Registration is available on ENDU.NET.
After completing the online registration, an order confirmation email and a payment confirmation email will be sent. Please check your SPAM folder if not received.
Online registration will remain open until the maximum number of 150 athletes is reached, and in any case no later than 11:59 p.m. on May 28, 2026.

Entry fee for Half Triathlon:

  • €199.00 until 31/12/2025

  • €229.00 from 01/01/2026

Please note: service fees from the registration platform will be added to the listed prices.

The entry fee includes:

  • Official Half Triathlon gadget

  • Athlete race bib

  • Gear bags

  • Sticker kit (bike, helmet, bags, support car)

  • Swim cap

  • Safety buoy with light

  • Timing chip

  • 1 pasta party voucher at Passo Paradiso refuge

  • 1 identification wristband for a possible supporter

  • Cable car descent upon presentation of the athlete bib

GROUP REGISTRATIONS

All group or team registrations must be completed online via ENDU.NET using the ENDU4team system.
A single order may include multiple registrations, even across different distances. Registrations are confirmed only upon payment, which must be completed within 10 days of registration and before the registration deadline.

TIMING AND RESULTS

Timing will be managed by Official Timer SDAM using chip technology. Each participant will receive a daily chip, which must be returned at the end of the event.
Each athlete will also receive a GPS device (not used during the swim). Athlete tracking will be available on a dedicated race webpage.
The GPS and chip must be returned at the finish. Failure to return them will result in a charge of €15.00 for the chip and €50.00 for the GPS.
Failure to correctly use the chip will result in exclusion from the rankings.
Please note: the goal of the event is not competition, but the experience. The ranking is considered simply a list of finishers.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

Multiple ambulances with doctors and nurses will be deployed, along with fixed first-aid stations (one permanent at the finish area), mobile quad units, off-road vehicles, and specialized personnel. Fixed and mobile radio-rescue points will also be in place.

AID STATIONS

Bike Aid Stations:

  • Trivigno (km 97)

  • Ponte di Legno (T2)

Run Aid Stations:

  • Villadalegno (km 8)

  • Valbione (km 17)

  • Ponte di Legno (km 21)

Aid stations will provide fruit, bars, electrolytes, gels, water, drinks, and food.

NON-PARTICIPATION AND SUBSTITUTIONS

In case of non-participation, the entry fee will not be refunded.
Registration may be transferred to the following year no later than June 7, 2026, at a cost of €10.00.
The transferred registration is not automatic, not transferable to third parties, and not further transferable to subsequent years.

Name changes (substitutions) are allowed at a cost of €10.00 until April 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. After this deadline, no changes will be accepted.

RACE PACK COLLECTION & SCHEDULE

Friday, June 26, 2026

  • 12:30 p.m. – Race office opens (race pack and bags) in Iseo

  • 1:00 p.m. – Transition area opens (Iseo lakeside)

  • 4:30 p.m. – Transition area closes

Race pack and bib collection must be completed on Friday.
The race briefing will be sent online in the days preceding the event.

Saturday, June 27, 2026

  • 3:30 a.m. – Transition area opens for bike check and GPS distribution

  • 4:20 a.m. – Transition area closes

  • 4:30 a.m. – Boarding boats to the Half Triathlon start area

  • 5:00 a.m. – Half Triathlon start

  • 10:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Athlete arrivals at T2 in Ponte di Legno

  • Approx. 2:00 p.m. – First athlete arrival at Passo del Tonale

All times are subject to change.

To collect the race pack, participants must present a copy of the registration receipt and a valid ID document.
