Half Triathlon

descrizione

The Half Triathlon distance features a shorter swim leg, while offering the same thrilling experience of crossing Lake Iseo in the middle of the night.

The 145 km cycling course, with 2,790 m of elevation gain, follows the same route as the Xtrem distance up to Ponte di Legno, tackling the legendary Aprica and Mortirolo passes without taking on the Gavia Pass.

The 22 km run course, highly undulating and featuring 850 m of elevation gain, winds through the area around Ponte di Legno and along the valley floor. The route passes through the hamlets of Zoanno, Precasaglio and Villa Dalegno, then crosses to the opposite side of the valley through the centre of Temù. From here it climbs to the Valbione area (1,500 m a.s.l.) before descending back to Ponte di Legno, where the finish line is located.

SWIM COURSE 2.8 KM

The start is located in Predore, on the opposite shore from Iseo. Athletes will complete a 2.8 km lake crossing to Iseo, where the first transition area, T1, is located.

Competitors will experience the same adrenaline as the Xtrem Triathlon, with nighttime boat transport and a start at first light of dawn. The swim exit point is marked by a powerful beacon pointing skyward.

BIKE COURSE 144 KM - 2700 m D+

The course follows the first section of the Xtrem Triathlon route. It runs through the entire Val Camonica up to Edolo (km 70), then climbs to Aprica, followed by the Mortirolo Pass via Trivigno. It then descends to Monno and tackles the final 15 km of the leg to reach T2 in the center of Ponte di Legno.

RUN COURSE 22 KM - 850m+

The running course, particularly varied and challenging, stretches over 22 km with 850 meters of positive elevation gain, crossing the Ponte di Legno area and the valley floor. The route passes through the villages of Zoanno, Precasaglio, and Villa Dalegno, then moves to the opposite side of the valley, going through the center of Temù. From here begins the climb towards Valbione, at an altitude of 1,500 meters, before the final descent that brings athletes back to Ponte di Legno, where the finish line is located.
